Foundation for Disease Awareness and Prevention (FDAP), with the slogan “Together for a Healthier Tomorrow,” is a Bangladesh Government registered non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to promoting public health through disease awareness, prevention, and health education.
At FDAP, we firmly believe that prevention is better than cure, and that education and awareness are the most powerful tools in reducing the burden of disease. Many preventable illnesses continue to affect individuals, families, and communities due to a lack of awareness, delayed diagnosis, and unhealthy lifestyle practices. Our mission is to bridge this gap by empowering people with accurate, evidence-based health information and encouraging preventive healthcare practices.
FDAP works to increase public awareness about communicable and non-communicable diseases. Through community engagement, educational campaigns, health screening programs, seminars, workshops, and advocacy initiatives, we strive to help people make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
We conduct awareness and educational activities in communities, schools, colleges, universities, workplaces, and healthcare facilities to promote healthy lifestyles and preventive healthcare practices. Our programs focus on risk reduction, early detection, regular health screening, vaccination awareness, nutrition, physical activity, mental well-being, and other key components of disease prevention and health promotion.
FDAP collaborates with healthcare professionals, medical students, volunteers, community leaders, educational institutions, government agencies, and other non-governmental organizations to implement sustainable community-based initiatives. By building strong partnerships and encouraging community participation, we aim to create long-term positive changes in public health.
Our vision is to build a society where every individual has access to reliable health information, understands the importance of disease prevention, and actively participates in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We envision a future where preventable diseases are significantly reduced and communities are empowered to take responsibility for their own health.
Through our work, we are committed to improving the quality of life, reducing the burden of preventable diseases, strengthening public health awareness, and contributing to the overall development of Bangladesh.
We firmly believe that an informed society is the foundation of a healthy society, and a healthy society is the driving force behind a prosperous nation.
